Description

Many who ride or repair the Yamaha YZF R1, FZ1 or FZ8 are probably aware that the standard flywheel is prone to failure. The result of the magnets being smashed to pieces against the rotor is a catastrophic failure resulting in an engine strip down and an expensive repair.

Serious consideration should be given to replacing OEM rotors before they fail as a new rotor is considerably cheaper than repairing a damaged engine. The  RM rotor is a well-priced up-grade with enclosed magnets, avoiding the problems with original OEM parts.
