Our Roadster ‘ignition only’ electronic ignition kit benefits from many years of development by a company that specialises in the XT500. Our focus is on quality and performance and this kit is intended to offer the all benefits of powerful electronic ignition at the lowest possible price. We achieved this by offering a billet stator will accept a standard 6 volt lighting coil so your lights can be powered by fitting the lighting coil from your existing stator. You will need an additional hardware pack with the spacers and fixtures to do this.
This is a very popular ignition, its a great all-rounder, giving much better starting compared to points ignition – hot or cold. Fits all models with points ignition. Simple to fit and time, full colour instruction are downloadable (see link above).
Does not require flywheel to be removed to trim the ignition timing – This is done on the CDi unit
The simplest available system to fit to your XT500 with years of design work carried out. We build our own ignition units specially for the XT. You will not find low cost, combined CDi and HT coil units that have only with generic timing curves in our kits.
